Though India had made major stride in increasing access to health services across the country some major diseases as Guinea worm has been certified as eradicated.polia is on the verge of eradication.
Also physical healthcare infrastructure has expanded.
Still in India one forth of the babies born are under weight, one half of the women are anemic.
• The IMR of per 1000 live babies born in India is 63.
• Due to in adequate care during pregnancy and chronic nutritional and health care deprivation 23 % children are born underweight.
• 52% women in India are Anemic.
• 26% children born are never immunized and vaccinated.
• Lack of primary health care system in rural and remote areas leads to increase in death rate.
• One in every three Indian child is affected with acute respiratory infections, leadsIMR 15-20%.
• 100,000 women die due to the pregnancy related complications each year.
• HIV prevalence in India doubled over the last four years, resulting that India has largest numbers of HIV infections in the world – 3.6million Indians.
• One third of the worlds children suffering from malnutrition are in India. Micro-nutrients deficiencies such as nutritional anaemia, Vitamin-A deficiency, Iodine deficiency are still widely prevalent.
• Less than 37% mothers put their babies to the breast feeding within one day after childbirth.
• 47% of India’s children under three years of age are malnourished is one third of the world’s malnourished children.
• 51% household in India does not consume iodized salt as the result large number of children is vulnerable to the threat of mental retardation and other Iodine deficiency disorders.
• Care given to children favors boys. Daughter and women are vulnerable and at the risk of deprivation and denial as they are progressively less welcomed by their families.

Eco-adventreks and welfare society had taken the note of the situation of the children of the poor and backward class communities who are never access the opportunity for Healthcare, nutritional and Development. To combat these health and development related problems REACH (Remote educative and children Health) project is serving variety of health care and development services for the children at the school.
• Nutritious Mid day meals are served to the children everyday.
• Vitamin tablets are distributed to the under nourished children.
• Child-Vaccination assistance and counseling is provided to the parents.
• Health and hygiene awareness is taught to the children at the schools.
• Diet supplement and medicine does against worm is given to the children.
• Doctors visit to every school at the monthly basis.
• Treatment of all the medical problems by the society.
• First aid health attention everyday provided.

N.B: EAAWS takes special initiative in providing the medial services to the parents and the adults of the community, Aids awareness champagne and camps are conducted with the inmates of the communities. Which serves are the preventive measures against HIV AIDS.
