Fact file situation of children in India, although The constitution of India directs all the states to ensure the Education of each child up to the age of 14,while the spread of school services had increased yet this promise id to be realized.
Quality of schooling teachers training and Empowerment, learning, achievement, and better classroom environment still remain challenges. |

• Universal elementary education has not been attained. About 100million children are not in school, many are at work.
• 37% of children who join school drop out before completing 5year of primary school.
• Girls are denied equal opportunity to attend schools and complete even primary schooling.
• About 460million Indians cannot read and write of them 58% are women.
• There is growing demand of education, even among the poorest communities.
• Unmet challenges includes the improvement of the quality of education, Key areas of investments are teachers, training, awareness champagne, better classroom environment, and reaching to the children who are possibility for receiving Education. |
Sensing the grimness of the situation of the poor and underprivileged E.A.A.W.S designed a comprehensive child based Educational and child health development programs for the children who reside in the poorest of the slums, work as the child labors and rag pickers and some even are the street beggars. This Comprehensive program is called REACH (remote educative and child health Project)
Under this project today we are running 8 day care centre and 2 are proposed.

Educational aim:
1. Encourage and provide the quality elementary education.
2. Child based project target the poor and destitute children.
3. Discouraging the patents enforced Child labor activities and attracting the child to the school.
4. Complete Educational care and personality development
5. After the schooling for 2-3years children are promoted to the Formal schools.
6. Supported and followed upon by EAAWS.and potential patent support for the continuity of the further education.

( Terry Hyneps family school) situated at the Remote village of CHAMBA at the height of 1665 Meters the program is targeting the children form the underserved poor and backward caste of the Himalayan community.
• REACH2 (St.Josephs workers school) Targeting the children form the highly backward underserved Snakes charmers community who are street beggars and performers. School is situated in the village of Bhaniyawala
Dehradun.
• REACH 3 (Hugh Kelly school) this school is targeting the child labors and encouraging them for the Education. Situated in the village
Lalthappar, Dehradun.
• REACH 4 (Sheila and Billy Quigley School) this school is targeting the child labors and encouraging them for the Education. Situated in the village
Jeevanwala, Dehradun.
• REACH-5 (Eamon Melaugh School) this school is targeting the child labors and encouraging them for the Education. Situated in the village
Keshavpuri, Dehradun.
• REACH-6(old library trust school) this school is targeting the child labors and encouraging them for the Education. Situated in the urban slum of Rishikesh
• REACH-7(the Boyce’s School) this school is targeting the child labors and encouraging them for the Education. Situated in the urban slum of Chanderbaga
Rishikesh.
Proposed schools are REACH 8, 9, and 10.will targets the poor and destitute children of the rural and urban slum. |
